Whiskey is now 11 years old and has been retired from competition. She is still very fit and active for her age and now enjoys picking up through the winter and long walks with the other dogs in the summer, as well as the occasional retrieve to show the younger dogs how to do it!
2019
Whiskey was brought out of retirement and handled in two trials by my partner, Steve - together they gained awards in both;
3rd - Arun and Downland 2 Day Open Stake
COM - Suffolk Gundog Club 2 Day Stake
2017
Whiskey qualified for the IGL Retriever Championships for a second time.
1st - West of England LRC 2 Day Open Stake - Whiskey was being handled by my good friend James Bailey.
1st - Arun and Downland All Aged Stake
2016
A
phenomenal season qualifying for the IGL Retriever Championships three times with two A's an 3 B qualifications - making her the most consistent dog in the country that season. At the Championship we had several successful runs and made it through to the third and final day.
We were also selected to represent England in the Home Nations Field Trial held at Windsor Castle for HRH 90th Birthday

2nd - Clwyd Retriever Club 2 Day Open Stake

2015
We completed our first 2 Day Open stake gaining third place at the Dove Valley Retriever club Field Trial
2014
1st - Bristol and West Working Gundog Society All aged Stake
2013
Whiskey started her competing career running in a few local working test over the summer, gaining second place four times. Later that year I entered her for her first Field Trial. We finished the Trial and gained a Certificate of Merit. Her second Field Trial she gained third place. It was on Friday 13th running at number 13 of her third trial that we were to win The Wye Valley Retriever Clubs Novice Stake.
